MOX Laboratory, Department of Mathematics, Politecnico di Milano, Italy

I am a Professor of Numerical Analysis at the Department of Mathematics of Politecnico di Milano. I have worked at the Department’s Laboratory of Mathematical Modelling and Scientific Computing (MOX) since 2003. My main interest is the numerical modeling of problems governed by partial differential equations and their applications in various engineering fields. I have coordinated numerous research projects financed by public institutions and industry.

I am an active member of SIMAI, the Italian Society of Applied and Industrial Mathematics, of which I am currently President, and SIAM, of which I act as the academic advisor for the SIAM Student Chapter at Politecnico di Milano and Program Director of the Activity Group on Geosciences.

I co-founded MOXOFF, a spinoff of Politecnico di Milano, dedicated to applying mathematical modeling and data science to industrial innovation.
